Transportation
Welcome to the Clinton Public Schools Transportation page.  The Transportation Department provides all student transportation needs.  We are usually the first and the last District representatives that many students experience and we gladly accept this responsibility.

The Transportation Department serves 132 square miles with 84 regular ed routes and 5 sped routes.  Over 3500 students rely on the department for daily service to/from their home.  We have 95 CDL/MDE certified drivers - 55 assigned to regular routes, 5 to sped routes, and 35 available for athletics, activities/field trips, and route substitutes.

The bus fleet contains 67 buses - 11 Class B, 47 Class C, 7 Class C Sped, and 2 Class A Conversion vans.  All buses are fueled by diesel.  We have air conditioning on 25 regular buses and 6 sped buses.

Please check this site weekly.  We will be posting sub runs so you will know when the route might be running a little late.  The street/route listings for 2011/2012 will be added in June, with a listing of assigned routes.

The Transportation Office is manned from 8:00 am until 4:30 PM, except for a lunch break from 11:00 am until 11:30 am.  Mechanics are on duty before and after these hours.  Our telephone number is 601-924-7219.  We are located at 525 Springridge Road next to Clinton Public Works.  If you cannot reach a person directly please leave a message on the telephone system.
